Once you’ve added carriers to your ecomdash account, you can create shipping labels to ship your sales orders.
Create a Shipment
First, you’ll need to locate the order(s) you’d like to ship and create a shipment.
To create a shipment:
1. Navigate to Sales > Paid.
2. Choose the order you’d like to ship by marking the checkbox beside the order.
3. Select Bulk Actions > Create Shipping Order.
Generate a Shipping Label
Once you’ve created a shipment for the sales order(s) you’d like to ship, you can generate a shipping label using a carrier you’ve added to your ecomdash account. There are three workflows to generate shipping labels:
- Individual
- Bulk
- Worksheet
To generate a shipping label:
1. You will automatically be taken to the Shipping Queue to generate shipping labels once a shipping order has been created. This page can be accessed at any time by navigating to Shipments > Generate Label Queue.
2. Select the order(s) you’d like to create a shipping label for by marking the checkbox beside the order.
3. To use the individual workflow:
- Choose Generate Labels > Individual.
- Select Actions > Change Weight/Dimensions if you need to update the information for your shipment.
- In the Select Shipping section, choose your carrier, package type, and confirmation.
- In the Shipping Rates section, select Get Rates to see the available rates for this order for your selected options.
- Choose the rate you’d like to apply to this order and select Apply Rates.
- Once you’ve completed the workflow for one order, the next order in the queue will automatically load. Once you’ve selected rates for all of the orders, you’ll be taken to the Pick, Pack, Ship screen to purchase your shipping labels.
- Mark the checkbox for your orders and select Purchase Labels to generate your shipping labels.
- Once you’ve purchased your shipping label, you’ll be taken to the Shipping Label History screen where you can print your label.
4. To use the bulk workflow:
- Choose Generate Labels > Bulk.
- Select Actions > Change Weight/Dimensions if you need to update the information for your shipment(s).
- In the Select Shipping section, choose the carrier, package type, confirmation, and shipping service that you’d like to be applied to all selected orders.
- Once you’ve selected your shipping options, choose Add to Batch.
- Mark the checkbox for your orders and select Purchase Labels to generate your shipping labels.
- Once you’ve purchased your shipping labels, you’ll be taken to the Shipping Label History screen where you can print your labels.
5. To use the worksheet workflow:
- Choose Generate Labels > Worksheet.
- Select carrier, package type, confirmation, and shipping service for each individual order in the queue.
- Choose Actions > Print Shipping Label to the right of the order to generate a shipping label.
