Auto Sync is the feature ecomdash uses to keep your product quantities up-to-date on each of your sales channels. When Auto Sync is enabled, we’ll send a quantity update (your syncable balance) to your sales channels each time there is a quantity change (e.g new sales order, purchase order, work order, manual adjustment, file upload, or inventory feed update).
Ecomdash is the master of inventory, so any quantity adjustments made directly on your sales channel won’t be updated in ecomdash. Before you enable Auto Sync for your products, you’ll want to ensure the quantities are correct in ecomdash, as we’ll override the quantities you currently have set on your sales channels once a quantity sync goes out.
There are three options for turning on Auto Sync for products:
- Enable Auto Sync for All Products
- Enable Auto Sync for Individual Products
- Enable Auto Sync for Products with a Specific Filter
Enable Auto Sync for All Products
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Ensure your filters are set to All Suppliers, All Warehouses, All Inventory and there are no Tags set.
3. Select Bulk Actions > Turn On Auto Sync for All in Filter.
If your product quantities in ecomdash don’t align with the quantities you currently have available on your sales channels, please confirm quantities are correct in ecomdash and perform a manual sync to ensure the quantity information between your sales channels and ecomdash are the same.
Enable Auto Sync for Individual Products
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Mark the checkbox to enable Auto Sync for the products you’d like.
3. Select Bulk Actions > Turn On Auto Sync.
4. Perform a manual sync, if needed.
Enable Auto Sync for Products with a Specific Filter
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Set your filters from the Filters dropdown (e.g. Auto Sync Disabled).
3. Select Bulk Actions > Turn On Auto Sync for All in Filter.
4. Perform a manual sync, if needed.
Manually Sync Product Quantities to Storefronts
Please note that enabling auto sync won’t automatically trigger a quantity update to your sales channels. Ecomdash will only sync when there is a quantity change for your product(s). We recommend performing a manual sync, if needed.
To perform a manual sync for up to 250 products at a time:
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Mark the checkbox for the product you’d like to perform a manual sync for.
3. Select Bulk Actions > Sync Now.
To view the status of your quantity sync:
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Select View History > Sync Inventory.
New Product Auto Sync Rules
You can also set New Product Auto Sync Rules that will determine if Auto Sync should be automatically enabled for new products you add to your ecomdash inventory.
To set new product auto sync rules:
1. Navigate to Settings > Product.
2. Mark the checkbox for the rules you’d like to enable.
Syncable Balance
Syncable Balance is the quantity ecomdash sends to each of your sales channels. Many factors play into syncable balance, such as Max Available Quantity, Reserve Level, and Override Warehouse.
To view the syncable balance for a product:
1. Navigate to Products > All Products.
2. Select Actions > View for the product you’d like to view syncable balance for.
3. Select View Sync Balances.
