With ecomdash, you can set a Reorder Level for your products. When your product quantity drops below the Reorder Level you've set, the product will be placed into the Low Inventory Screen.
You can also receive Low Inventory Alerts via email to let you know when to order more. Read below to learn how to set a reorder level and how to opt into the alerts.
- How to set product-specific reorder levels
- How to set warehouse-specific reorder levels
- How to receive low inventory alerts
1. Product-Specific Reorder Levels
- Navigate to Products > All Products and click into the product details for a specific product by clicking Actions > View.
- Here you will see the Reorder Level field where you can enter a value. If your quantity drops below this value, the product will appear on the Low Inventory Screen. You'll also be alerted that the item needs to be ordered again.
- Click 'Save' under Actions > Save.
2. Warehouse-Specific Reorder Levels.
You can also set a separate Reorder Level for a specific warehouse. Doing so, allows you to define a different Reorder Level than the value you set for the product level.
For example, let's say you want to be notified if your dropship warehouse gets down to a certain product quantity. In this case, you would set the Warehouse Reorder Level for that specific dropship warehouse. When the product reaches that threshold, you will receive an email. You can also view this product on the Low Inventory Screen if you filter by the specific warehouse.
To set a Warehouse Reorder Level, scroll to the list of warehouses within the product details screen.
- Navigate to Products > All Products and click into the product details for a specific product by clicking Actions > View.
- Scroll to the list of Warehouses and enter a value in the column labeled Reorder Level. Once entered, it'll automatically save.
3. How to Set Low Inventory Alerts
- You can enable Low Inventory Alerts Settings > General Settings > Alert Settings.
- Check the box for Receive Low Inventory Emails under the Inventory Alerts section.
- Click Save in the upper-right hand corner.
*If you navigate back to Inventory Management, you will also see a column of your 'Reorder Level' for each SKU number.
