Release Notes: 04/26/2018
With each software release, our team strives to continually grow our product to fit your needs. As you can see, many of these additions were selected from our Feature Request section where our user have been posting their feedback on the software.
We want you to be able know what we are changing, so here is your inside scoop to all things new and improved with ecomdash this month!
UI Updates
Many of the updates we release from ecomdash are the direct result of feedback we receive from our users. Recently, we’ve received some requests to change our User Interface to improve usability and appearance. While UI changes are always an ongoing process, we’re happy to announce several changes to the User Interface designed to reduce confusion and errors when selecting options.
Here, you can see an image of our redesigned action and filter icons. This image is from the Inventory Management Page, but the same enhancements have been applied to all pages of ecomdash.
You’ll immediately notice a new color palate and shading scheme designed to create a more modern feel. You’ll also notice several buttons are grayed out. The grayed out buttons will only function when a product or products are selected in ecomdash.
Once a product is selected, these buttons become useable. You may have noticed some buttons are selectable even if a product is not selected. For example, consider the “Export” button. If no products are selected, Export will present one option “All Inventory for Filter”. This will export all inventory captured by the filters regardless of manual selection. If a product or products has been selected, you’ll see an additional option to export “Selected Inventory”. This ensures that all useable options are available based on your selection or non-selection of products and prevents errors related to selection status.
Additional changes have been made to the Product Details Page. By default, clicking the binoculars next to a product on the inventory management page will now direct you to the new “Inventory” Tab of the Product Details Page. The Inventory Tab now contains all information related to Warehouse Quantity and Location.
If you would like to adjust this behavior, navigate to Settings > Inventory Settings > Inventory and use the Product Detail Default section to specify which tab you would like to see first.
Moving Warehousing Information to a dedicated tab allowed us to redesign the Product Details Page to improve appearance.

I have to say that this color pallet leaves quite a bit to be desired. The buttons are too bright, and the what looks like a bold font, make them challenging to read, even on my 27" screen. Darker blue would have been better, not to mention using a font that doesn't literally blur into itself - the border lines of demarcation are not clear... look at your lower case 'e' and 'a' on clear tags.
To be honest, I am not quite sure why this even occurs, and these things aren't being tested for usability before launch. If you need someone to participate in review of your updates before launch, I would gladly make myself available.
