Within ecomdash, there are different quantity fields that have different purposes. Their explanations are listed below:
Quantity on Hand: the true quantity of inventory you have in stock. This can be found by navigating to Products > All Products >Actions > View
Max Available Quantity: If you want your storefront to show a different quantity than what you have in your quantity on hand field, change the Max Available Quantity. When set, ecomdash will send the lower value of Max Available Quantity or Quantity on Hand to your storefront. For example. If your Quantity on Hand is 50 and your Max Available Quantity is 30, ecomdash will sync a 30. If your Quantity on Hand is 25 and your Max Available Quantity is 30, ecomdash will sync a 25. There is also an option to "Always Use Max Available Quantity". When selected, ecomdash will always send the Available Quantity to your storefronts regardless of your Quantity on Hand. Note: enabling this option can result in sales occurring for products that do not have quantity. Ensure you are prepared for this behavior before enabling this feature. Max Available Quantity settings can be found by navigating to Products > All products > Action > View > Manage Listings > Edit icon to the right of Channel Setting
Warehouse Quantity: the quantity that is being held at that specific warehouse. If you have an FBA warehouse set up, they will send us inventory levels for your products at that warehouse. This can be found by navigating to Products > All Products >All Inventory > Action > View
Reserve Level: Reserve level is used to hold back part your inventory from showing up on your storefronts. For example, if you have a quantity on hand of 10, and set your reserve level to 3, ecomdash will send a quantity sync of 7 out to your storefronts. This is useful in the case of auctions or fast selling products. It creates a safety level for your products. The reserve level can be set at the product level
(impacts all storefronts the product is listed on), and also for specific storefronts (only impacts the specified storefront) . This can be found by navigating to Products > All Products > Actions >View
Syncable Balance: The sync quantity is the quantity that ecomdash will send to your storefront. This is calculated by taking the warehouse quantity for all warehouses and subtracting any Reserve Levels. You can view the Sync Quantity for each storefront on the Product Details page.
If you do not want the quantity of a particular warehouse to show on your storefront, uncheck the "include in sync balance" checkbox under Settings > Warehouse Settings > Warehouse Priorities
This can also be adjusted on a Product Level by navigating to Inventory>Inventory Management>All Inventory>Action>View
**Things to Consider**
Ecomdash by default will display the lower of Quantity on Hand or Available Quantity to your sales channel unless you tell us to always use available quantity.
As a default, the Available Quantity is set to 999 in ecomdash.
Ecomdash is the master of inventory. So any quantity changes made outside of ecomdash will not be reflected in any of the quantity fields. If you need to make any changes to your inventory, the changes will need to be made in ecomdash, through a manual change or inventory feed.
If you have Auto Sync enabled, changes to your Quantity on Hand or Warehouse Quantity will be pushed out automatically. We recommend pushing out a manual Sync Now anytime you make a quantity change. For more on Auto Sync, click here.
