Setting Up Warehouse Types within ecomdash
Warehousing within ecomdash can serve many purposes. Let's take a look below at the different warehouse options we offer within ecomdash.
The warehouse setup page is found by navigating to Settings > Warehouse
Types of Warehouses
Merchant - Your on site warehouse. With this option, you have full access to the warehouse and fulfill orders directly within the warehouse. There is no limit to the amount of warehouses you may add within ecomdash. All accounts come with a stock "my warehouse" which can be changed if desired.
Dropship/ 3PL - If you sell items that are housed off site by suppliers/vendors, you may set the warehouse up as a dropship warehouse. With the dropship warehouse setup, your supplier can pass over product quantity data on the front end of the sales cycle. After a sale is made, ecomdash can route the order over to the dropship warehouse for fulfillment. Once fulfilled, the dropship warehouse can provide ecomdash with tracking information that ecomdash will use to update the sales channel. With this option, you may add a cost for each product that the dropship warehouse provides which will be displayed within the product details of the SKU, here is a guide with more information on that feature.
FBA - Store your products with Amazon who will ship out your orders for you. Simply add an FBA warehouse integration to ecomdash and you will be able to see your FBA quantities in ecomdash as well as route MCF orders to FBA for fulfillment.
