Ecomdash allows you to track unit level information, like Serial Number, Lot Number, or Expiration Date. If your inventory has unit level information that needs to be tracked, you'll need to design a Serialization Profile then apply the Profile to the product. When working with Serialized Inventory, there are a few additional steps to complete during certain workflows.
Receive Serialized Goods from a Purchase Order- When receiving a Purchase Order that contains serialized goods, you will find fields related to the Serialization Profile associated with the item. These fields will become editable as items are received.
Ship Orders for Serialized Goods- When a sale occurs for a Serialized Good, you'll need to document which unit is used to fulfill the order as part of the fulfillment process. Once you have created a Shipping Order that contains a serialized good, click the Green Plus Icon, then select "Assign Units".
A new page will load. From this page, you can select the specific unit you will be using to fulfill this order. Once the appropriate unit is selected, click "Assign" to add the unit to the Shipping Order. Once complete, proceed with order fulfillment as normal.
