Within ecomdash, you can transfer the quantity of your products from one warehouse another using an Internal Transfer. To create an internal transfer:
1. Navigate to Restock> Internal Transfers. On this screen, you can select Add New to create a new internal transfer.
2. Select your Origination Warehouse and then select your Destination Warehouse (FBA) from the drop down menus. You can also edit the Transfer Number.
3. Click the + to add products to the internal transfer, or you may mark the check boxes to the left of your products, then click the "Add to Internal Transfer" button. This will bring up a new screen where you may select the quantity to receive for the internal transfer.
4. Then you will be able to hover over Actions> then select Save, or mark the transfer as In-Transit.
5. Next, define the Quantity to Receive at the Destination Warehouse. You will not need to adjust the Origination Product or Quantity to Send unless the SKUs are different across warehouses or you are transferring inventory into a kit or bundle.
6. Once the products have been shipped out, hover over Actions> Mark as In-Transit. By clicking Mark as In-Transit, you are saying the items are not available for sale, as they are currently being shipped and are not in any of your physical warehouses. When this occurs, the Origination Product's quantity will be reduced by the Quantity to Send in the Originating Warehouse. See example below -
- Quantity on Hand = 25
- My Warehouse 'A' quantity = 10
- My Warehouse 'B' quantity = 15
If you want to transfer the 10 in My Warehouse 'A' to My Warehouse 'B', once you click Mark as In-Transit, the updated quantities will show as -
- Quantity on Hand = 15
- My Warehouse 'A' quantity = 0
- My Warehouse 'B' quantity = 15
7. Once the quantity is received by the Destination warehouse, you will then define the Received Quantity. This is the number of units received by the destination warehouse. This should be the same as Quantity to Receive unless items were damaged or lost in transit.
8. To enter the received quantity, click the green "Complete Transfer" button. This will then mark the internal transfer as received and the Received Quantities will be added into the Destination Product at the Destination Warehouse. See example below -
If you receive the entire transferred quantity from the earlier example and the click Mark as Received, the new quantities will be;
- Quantity on Hand = 25
- My Warehouse 'A' quantity = 0
- My Warehouse 'B' quantity = 25
