Ecomdash supports the ability to communicate with dropshippers on your behalf. In ecomdash, dropshippers are treated as warehouses since they'll be maintaining and holding inventory. There are three main components of a dropshipping solution in ecomdash: Order Export, Tracking Import, and Inventory Updates. Note, when setting up a dropshipping solution, you do not have to use all three of these features. Once you know what your dropshipper will support, only set up the features that will be used.
This section of ecomdash will walk through all the steps required to set up a dropshipper in ecomdash. Once complete, ecomdash will receive inventory updates directly from your dropshipper. These inventory updates will be shared with your storefronts using Auto-Sync. Orders will be passed from your storefronts into ecomdash using Auto-Import Sales Orders. These orders will be forwarded along to the correct dropshipping warehouse for fulfillment. Once the order has been fulfilled, the dropshipper will pass tracking information back to ecomdash and ecomdash will forward that information along to the storefront.
Before you begin, many popular dropshipping solutions have pre-built apps in the ecomdash App Store. Subscribing to one of these apps will preform the setup for each dropshipper automatically. You'll just need to add the credentials provided by the dropshipper and you'll be all set. To see a complete list of dropshipping apps, navigate directly to Part 5: Dropshipping Apps.
If there is not a pre-built app or you would like to set up a dropshipping integration for yourself, follow the process outlined below.
Since ecomdash treats dropshippers as warehouses, the first step of adding a dropshipper is adding a dropshipping warehouse.
1. Navigate to Settings > Warehouse Settings and click 'Add New'
2. Warehouse Name is the only required field. However additional information will be useful for contact and reporting purposes. Selecting "Dropship" as the warehouse type will give you additional visibility into warehouse cost later.
3. Select "Enable Warehouse Integration". Once selected, you'll be able to input information related to your dropshipping integration. Once you specify your Integration Type, you'll be presented with fields for the credentials necessary to support that integration.
4. Once your Dropshipping Warehouse is set up, continue to Part 2 to set up your Order Export Feed.
