There are a few places you can define defaults for your shipping process. The defaults help you save time by setting the data one time and this will expedite the shipping process.
Shipping Settings: Navigate to Settings > Shipper Setup > Settings. Here you can define defaults for:
- Label DPI quality
- Label print order
- Print Dimensions for your Shipping Label
- Print Dimensions for your Packing Slips
- Cut Off Date/Time for Shipping
- Shipping Carrier
Products: Navigate to Inventory Management and use the binoculars to access the product details page for a product. Within product details you can define defaults for:
- Shipping Weight Major and Shipping Weight Minor
- Box Dimensions (Height, Width and Length)
- Warehouse Location (Aisle and Bin information)
Carrier Level: Within the Shipper integration page (Settings > Shipper Setup > Select a Shipper) you'll find an options tab. This tab contains defaults for the specific carrier related to:
- Package Type
- Box Dimensions
Packing Slip Customization: To customize your packing slips you can define what data displays and the logo on the slip at the sales channel level. This way if you have a different brand for different channels you can customize them specifically for that storefront. These Settings can be accessed by navigating to Settings > Shipper Setup > Packing Slips. Select the storefront of your choice and you will be able to define the information included on that packing slip.
