With ecomdash, all cancellations are handled on the storefront directly. Ecomdash does not pass cancellations made within our software back over to the storefront. Please reference the different scenarios below:
1. Customer cancels an order on the storefront directly
In this scenario, no actions need to be taken by the ecomdash user. The storefront will pass that cancellation status into ecomdash and we will update the order accordingly. You can view the cancelled status within Orders >All sales
You will see the order is in a Cancelled Status. Ecomdash applies the Cancellation rules automatically as soon as the storefront informs ecomdash of the Cancellation.
2. Customer reaches out requesting a Cancellation.
If your customer contacts you directly to request a cancellation, you will need to navigate to the storefront the order was placed on and cancel the order manually. Once cancelled on the storefront directly, the storefront will pass that information into ecomdash where the order will reflect as cancelled. You can view the cancelled status within Orders >All Sales
You will see the order is in a Cancelled Status. Ecomdash applies the Cancellation rules automatically as soon as the storefront informs ecomdash of the Cancellation.
